Gahcho Kué Mine helped raise $3,500 for KidSport, a program through Sport North in the Northwest Territories that works to ensure all children have an equal opportunity to play organized sport without financial barriers.

The funds were raised at the 11th Annual Champions for Children silent auction which saw an incredible opportunity being auctioned off by the Gahcho Kué team – a trip for four, expenses paid, to the Gahcho Kué Mine!

The auction took place during a gala with special guests including Stanley Cup champion Mike Krushelnyski (centre), pictured above with Allan Rodel, Mine General Manager (centre left), and members of the Gahcho Kué team.

The Champions for Children Fundraising Dinner has raised more than $425,000 for KidSport NWT over the last 10 years.

Gahcho Kué Mine is a joint venture between De Beers Canada (51% - the Operator) and Mountain Province Diamonds (49%).
