Build a BRILLIANT Future

Our company has a rich history and a sparkling future – and we encourage our people to achieve their full potential.

At De Beers, we focus on more than just diamonds. We strive to make life brilliant for our people, our customers and the communities where we operate.

Our mission to create a world where every employee is safe, has equal opportunity and is equipped and empowered to make a difference. A world where innovation and opportunity are the status quo, where communities and our natural world are protected.

That’s why we invest in our people’s personal growth, training and wellbeing. It’s why we are committed to creating a lasting legacy through our efforts to protect the planet, empower local entrepreneurs and champion conservation efforts.

We thrive on the creativity, passion and knowledge of our people. Are you ready to join us?

We Celebrate Diversity

We Celebrate Diversity

The diversity of our people is one of our biggest strengths. And we are committed to creating an equal, fair and inclusive environment where everyone can bring their authentic self to work.

Our workforce needs to reflect the societies we operate in, which is why we have introduced partnerships to promote the progression of women in the workplace, helping us become a proud voice for gender equality.

Our partnerships: UN Women

UN Women Partnership – HeForShe

Achieving an equal number of men and women in our workforce is essential to achieving thriving and resilient communities and societies. It’s also fundamental for De Beers’ future success – a diverse and inclusive business is more productive, more innovative and a safer one.

In March 2021, we renewed our partnership with UN Women for a further five years, joining the HeForShe Alliance – expanding our commitment to increasing the representation of women in technical and leadership roles across our business.

Unstereotype Alliance

As proud partners of UN Women and HeForShe Champions, we are members of the UN Women-convened Unstereotype Alliance. This industry-led initiative seeks to eradicate harmful stereotypes in media and advertising content. Together with other global brands, we strive to use advertising to drive positive change across the world. Ultimately, the Unstereotype Alliance seeks to empower people in all their diversity (race, class, age, ability, ethnicity, religion, sexuality, language, education and body size) to create a more equal world.

Our partnerships: MasterPeace Academy

MasterPeace Academy Collaboration

As part of our efforts to support emerging talent from all backgrounds into diamond jewellery, we’ve been working with the MasterPeace Academy to turn this ambition into reality.

Based in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter in the UK, the MasterPeace Academy is run by Norma Jean-Banton whose motto is, ‘make jewellery change lives’. Over the past three years we’ve supported the diverse and inclusive academy to run jewellery design and manufacturing courses for unemployed young people.

In 2024, students worked on a real six-month creative jewellery design brief from De Beers Jewellers (DBJ). The DBJ team also provided mentoring and feedback for each of the students over the course of the programme.
