Introduction

A leading player in the global diamond and jewellery industry, the Dalumi Group has earned a reputation as one of the diamond world’s most trusted names. Established in 1960 by Asher Dalumi and run today by the second generation, Dalumi Group is an international company with worldwide distribution operation. The Group has manufacturing facilities in Botswana, Israel and India, offices around the globe and some 550 professional employees worldwide. Dalumi is a DTC Sightholder since 1993, a DTC Botswana Sightholder since 2007, a Term Client of BHP Billiton, and the recipient of Israel’s “Outstanding Exporter” award in1995 and in 2008.

Dalumi produces a wide range of diamond products: from polished diamonds in various colours and qualities, to innovative, beautifully designed branded jewellery collections. The company markets its products worldwide through its offices in the US, Asia and Europe, and its “Online Inventory”. Dalumi offers clients a range of turnkey jewellery solutions as well as educational, PR and marketing assistance.

Dalumi Group is committed to promoting ethical and responsible business practices in all the communities in which it operates.

In Gaborone, Botswana, Dalumi sponsors the Tlokweng SOS Children’s Village. This initiative provides a home to 245 children, and Dalumi assists by subsidizing food, clothing, medication and school materials.

Dalumi is also a certified member of the Council for Responsible Jewellery Practices (CRJP). The Council’s goal is to promote responsible business practices in a transparent and accountable manner throughout the industry. After developing a “Responsible Practices Framework”, Council members believe that a coordinated approach to addressing ethical, social and environmental challenges will drive continuous improvement throughout the jewellery industry and promote consumer confidence in the industry.

The Dalumi group also takes part in the industry's standard to promote and implement Best Practice Principles in the diamond industry, including the Anti Money Laundering Act (AMLA).
