In 2006, we committed ourselves to a set of Principles that translate our Purpose, Vision and Values into practice.
They define the way we do business, inform our understanding of what is right and wrong and describe what is important to us.
They also articulate how we contribute to sustainable development through partnerships with stakeholders and help deliver on our commitment to “living up to diamonds”.
The Principles are more comprehensive, rigorous and relevant to diamond mining than the Best Practice Principles (BPPs).
They cover the same economic, ethics, employee, community and environment issues included in our sustainability reporting.
The Principles are also based on best practice standards including ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 and sector initiatives as well as the BPPs.
