What a fantastic evening – what a fantastic venue. There can certainly be no greater monument to the ongoing and enduring partnership between the people of Botswana and De Beers than this building that will be officially opened this evening. Back in 1983 exactly the same would have been said about Orapa House when it was opened by Dr GKT Chiepe in the presence of former President Sir QKJ Masire and Julian Ogilvie Thompson, but now we are in 2008 and Orapa House pales into insignificance against this the home of DTC Botswana...
