Senior Vice President, Diamond Supply Chain (Midstream).
After working in the retail management sector, Andy Bolton joined De Beers in 1988. His first role was in the Diamond Trading Company (DTC) (now Global Sightholder Sales, or GSS) Diamond Division in London, working on the analysis and process management side of the business.
He then moved to the DTC Internal Diamond Audit function where he spent five years, two of them on secondment to Namibia DTC in Windhoek as Head of the Namibia DTC Internal Diamond Audit team.
After a two-year spell back in the DTC Diamond Division in London, Andy returned to Africa, this time on secondment to DTC Botswana in Gaborone. In this role, he spent five years as a team leader in the Diamond Division, with responsibilities for operational process and statistical analysis. He returned to the UK in 2004 and, after working in Mineral Resource Management as a diamond revenue analyst, he assumed the role of Planning and Information Manager within the DTC Diamond Division Management Team in London.
In 2008, Andy moved from the DTC Diamond Division into the DTC Planning and Pricing function, initially in the role of Pricing Manager, before additionally assuming responsibility for the DTC Diamond Supply Chain in 2009. In 2013, he moved back to Botswana as part of the relocation of GSS functions to Gaborone, where he holds his current role.
