Shihaleni Ndjaba biography

2 January 2008 was the first day at work for the new NDTC CEO, Mr. Shihaleni Ndjaba.

Shihaleni Ellis Ndjaba was the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Works, Transport and Communication (MWTC).

In his role as the Permanent Secretary, Mr. Ndjaba was responsible for coordinating all policy issues in the Ministry, namely budgeting, securing of international financing, and the development of infrastructure. 

Prior to his appointment as Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Works, Transport and Communication (MWTC) Mr. Ndjaba was the Deputy Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Finance, where his responsibilities included the management of macro – economic issues such as the fiscal policy in conjunction with the Bank of Namibia, and the regulation of financial institution in conjunction with NAMFISA. 

Previous employments include; Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Agricultural Bank of Namibia (Agribank), and Director at the Ministry of Fisheries and Marine Resources.

Mr. Ndjaba holds a number of qualifications which include a Msc. Degree in Financial Economics from the University of London, an MBA from Brunell University in the UK and an Msc In General Maritime Administration from the World Maritime University in Sweden.
